1888 High Resistance Meter – IET Labs
Precision Megohmmeter for High-Value Resistance and Insulation Measurements
The 1888 High Resistance Meter from IET Labs is an advanced megohmmeter engineered for today’s demanding high-resistance applications. Serving as a modern replacement for the 1865 Plus, the 1888 combines precision, programmability, and user-friendly features, making it ideal for lab, production, and calibration environments.
This instrument measures insulation resistance and extremely high resistances — from 1 kΩ up to over 100 TΩ — with a basic accuracy of 0.3%*, across a programmable voltage range up to 1000 V DC. With a color touchscreen interface, intuitive menu navigation, and real-time graphical displays, the 1888 allows users to monitor voltage, current, resistance, and setup conditions easily.
It supports fully automated measurements, with programmable voltage, charge time, and measurement sequences, as well as remote operation via USB, GPIB, and Ethernet interfaces. Whether for manual or automated setups, the 1888 ensures high repeatability, low uncertainty, and improved throughput.
For materials testing, the 1888 enables direct volume and surface resistivity measurements when paired with appropriate test cells such as the 1888-11. It’s also well-suited for calibrating IET’s own high-resistance standards such as the SRC or VRS.
