Mitech MHV-30Z Digital Automatic Hardness Tester
Product Overview
The Mitech MHV-30Z is a digital Vickers hardness tester designed with an automatic turret system to enhance efficiency in precision hardness testing. Using a diamond pyramid indenter, the device creates a small impression on the material surface, and the diagonal length of the indentation is measured using a high-resolution optical system to determine hardness.
This model features an integrated structure with advanced optics, photoelectric sensors, adjustable cold light illumination, and a user-friendly LCD interface. Its stable and accurate performance makes it suitable for use in industrial quality control, academic institutions, and research labs.

Working Principle
The Vickers method involves pressing a pyramid-shaped diamond indenter into the test material under a fixed load. After a designated time, the force is released and the diagonal of the resulting impression is measured. The hardness value is then calculated using:
HV ≈ 0.1891 × F / d²
Where:
-
HV = Vickers hardness value
-
F = Load applied (in newtons)
-
d = Average length of the indentation’s diagonals (in millimeters)
Operating Conditions
