Product Overview

Mitech MXT-2000 Portable Belt Flaw Detector is a state-of-the-art portable flaw detector developed for non-destructive testing (NDT) of conveyor belts. Utilizing short-wave radiographic imaging technology, this advanced system integrates a high-voltage generator, flat-panel image intensifier, SD card data storage, and PC video interface—all within a compact and rugged design.

The MXT-2000 delivers real-time high-resolution imaging, allowing rapid identification of belt defects such as broken steel cords, internal rust, or structural damage. Designed for use in harsh field environments, it provides a reliable solution for minimizing operational downtime and ensuring safety in mining, manufacturing, and research sectors.

Key Features

  • Real-time imaging for on-site belt inspection without disassembly

  • Short-wave radiographic detection for high contrast and accuracy

  • Built-in high-voltage generator and collimator for stable output

  • Flat-panel image intensifier ensures rapid detection of internal flaws

  • No need for a darkroom—live image display available anytime, anywhere

  • Automatic safety shut-off after 60 seconds of inactivity

  • Two rechargeable lithium batteries provide up to 6 hours of continuous operation

  • SD card storage for capturing and archiving inspection data

  • Compatible with PC software for live video streaming and inspection review

  • Designed for field use—durable and portable with compact construction

Applications

  • Coal mining: Inspecting conveyor belts in underground and surface operations

  • Educational institutions: For technical demonstrations and hands-on training

  • Research laboratories: Conducting material integrity tests

  • Manufacturing: Quality control for wire ropes, conveyor belts, and other belt-like materials

Working Principle

The MXT-2000 emits short-wave radiation similar to natural X-rays through an internal high-voltage generator. This energy passes through the belt being tested. Any variation in density—such as steel wire breaks or embedded rust—affects the transmission of the rays. A flat-type image intensifier captures these differences and creates a real-time visual display, highlighting defects with high sensitivity. The system can store images on an SD card and transmit them to a PC for detailed analysis.
