Product Overview

The Ultrasonic Flaw Detector Mitech MFD350B is a compact, high-performance non-destructive testing (NDT) device designed to detect, evaluate, and diagnose internal defects such as cracks, voids, and inclusions in a wide range of materials. Utilizing advanced ultrasonic pulse technology, the MFD350B delivers accurate real-time flaw analysis without causing damage to the tested object.

Its 320×240 TFT LCD display ensures clear visibility of results even in industrial environments. With a wide measuring range up to 6000 mm at steel velocity, the MFD350B is ideal for weld inspection, component integrity evaluation, and quality assurance across industries like manufacturing, metal processing, aerospace, and infrastructure.

  • High-resolution flaw detection using ultrasonic pulse reflection

  • Measuring range up to 6000 mm for broad material testing applications

  • Adjustable gate alarm with customizable gate position, width, and height

  • Audio and LED alerts for reliable detection in noisy environments

  • Stores up to 100 groups of detection parameters and 1000 flaw images

  • Built-in video recording function with up to 2 minutes of inspection footage

  • Real-time clock for automatic timestamping of inspection data

  • Compact and lightweight design (1.45 kg), ideal for field use

  • Rechargeable lithium battery with over 8 hours of continuous operation

  • USB 2.0 interface for fast data transfer and connectivity

  • User-friendly interface with shortcut keys and intuitive menu navigation

Applications

  • Weld inspection in pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural frames

  • Quality control in manufacturing and metal processing industries

  • Defect evaluation in shafts, axles, and mechanical parts

  • Flaw detection in storage tanks, turbines, and heavy equipment

  • Infrastructure inspection in aerospace, railway, oil and gas, and construction

How It Works

The device emits an ultrasonic pulse that travels through the material. If the wave encounters a defect, it is reflected back to the transducer. The time it takes for the echo to return is used to determine the depth, size, and location of the flaw. The results are displayed in real-time on the screen, providing immediate feedback to the operator.
