Automatic Heated Oil Test Centrifuge
Description
The Automatic Heated Oil Test Centrifuge is a fully automated bench-top device designed specifically for petroleum testing applications. This high-precision centrifuge simplifies the determination of sediment, water content, precipitation number, demulsibility characteristics, trace sediments, and insolubles in various types of oils and biodiesel. It features a user-friendly 4.5-inch LCD touch screen control panel that allows for comprehensive control over test parameters, including heat, duration, RCF/RPM values, and rotor assembly selection.
The centrifuge employs a servo motor speed mechanism to accurately achieve and maintain the desired RPM, based on the selected RCF and rotor type. It is built with substantial insulation to minimize heat loss and is equipped with a large, clear top-opening lid for easy access and monitoring. The unit is designed with a Class 1, Division 2 explosion-resistant rating, ensuring safety and reliability in hazardous environments.
Features
- Rotor Assemblies: Options for long, short, pear, or finger rotor assemblies to match corresponding centrifuge tubes.
- Tube Capacity: Accommodates four (4) centrifuge tubes of 6 or 8 inches in conical ASTM types, including long, short, pear, or finger tubes.
- Control System: Automatic control of acceleration ramp, centrifugation speed, and timing functions via a 4.5-inch LCD touch screen.
- Insulation: Enhanced insulation for reduced heat loss.
- Operation: Precise balancing and quiet operation.
- Lid: Large, clear top opening lid with an 18.5-inch diameter viewing window.
- Safety: Class 1, Division 2 explosion-resistant rating; safety lockout mechanism prevents operation with an open door and ensures safe emergency shutdowns.
- Nitrogen Purge: Optional feature for slow nitrogen release into the centrifuge bowl, requiring an external nitrogen gas source.
