The Cannon CAV 4.1 is a fully automated, single-bath benchtop kinematic viscometer designed to perform unattended viscosity measurements in compliance with ASTM D445 and other international standards. Engineered for accuracy, speed, and reliability, the CAV 4.1 offers dual 14-position sample handlers and a capacity of up to 24 tests per hour. Each viscometer tube can handle a viscosity range from 0.5 mm²/s to 10,000 mm²/s, allowing for extensive analytical flexibility across a wide range of petroleum-based and synthetic fluids.

This system is ideal for labs requiring consistent, high-volume testing of formulated oils, base stocks, fuels, waxes, paraffins, and more. The CAV 4.1 replaces the well-established CAV-2100, offering improved functionality, compact form factor, and enhanced temperature control—with the ability to cool to 20 °C using an integrated bath chiller option.
