The GenRad 1412-BC from IET Labs is a high-precision decade capacitance box designed for applications requiring accurate and stable capacitance values across a broad range. This unit features four decades of polystyrene capacitors, known for their low dielectric absorption and minimal variation with frequency. Additionally, it includes a continuously variable air capacitor that offers fine control within each decade, enabling capacitance adjustment with a resolution better than 1 pF. This makes the 1412-BC particularly valuable when used with impedance comparators or for fine-tuning bridge circuits.
