The HACS-Z Series from IET Labs is a high-accuracy, wide-range capacitance decade box designed for precise capacitance calibration and simulation. This unit is ideal for laboratory environments, metrology, and applications requiring stable and reliable capacitance values across a broad range.

Available in various models ranging from 1 pF to 11,111 μF, the HACS-Z is built using high-quality capacitors selected for their tight tolerances and long-term stability. The lower range (1 pF, 10 pF) employs trimmable air capacitors for the finest resolution. The mid-range decades use sealed 0505 mica capacitors for stability and low dissipation, while the higher decades utilize hermetically sealed MPPS capacitors, ensuring minimal drift over time.

The HACS-Z offers low zero capacitance (<0.1 pF) due to its three-terminal shielded design. It is equally effective in two-terminal applications, although the measured values may slightly vary. The unit can be used on the bench or rack-mounted, and comes with various output connector options including BNC and binding posts.

Optional features include an extended 1000 μF decade using high-quality electrolytic capacitors (-EC option), or a 1 pF trimmer to enhance resolution at the lower range.
