Product Overview

The Mitech MH100 is a compact, pen-style Leeb hardness tester designed for fast, accurate, and non-destructive hardness testing of metals. Based on the dynamic Leeb principle, it offers reliable performance in field environments, particularly for large or fixed components that cannot be moved to a traditional bench tester. Its portability, ease of operation, and data connectivity make it ideal for quality control, equipment maintenance, material verification, and industrial inspections.

With support for multiple hardness scales and automatic data conversion, the MH100 simplifies the testing process across various industries such as metal fabrication, aerospace, automotive, and machinery manufacturing.

Key Features

  • Compact and lightweight design suitable for handheld operation

  • Wide measuring range from 170 to 960 HLD

  • Supports automatic conversion between HL, HB, HRC, HRB, HRA, HV, and HS

  • Stores up to 100 measurement groups (1–32 impacts per group)

  • High-contrast LCD for clear display of hardness values and system status

  • USB communication for PC connectivity and data export

  • Integrated software calibration function ensures measurement accuracy

  • Compatible with D-type impact device for direct Brinell display when testing steel

  • Shockproof, dustproof, and resistant to electromagnetic interference

  • Battery-powered with up to 200 hours of operation on a single charge

Applications

  • Inspection of mold cavities and metal dies

  • Hardness testing of bearings, gears, and mechanical components

  • Failure analysis of pressure vessels and high-temperature equipment

  • Evaluation of large or permanently installed metal parts

  • Testing narrow or hard-to-access surfaces

  • Field inspection and verification of material hardness

  • Material classification in inventory or warehouse management

  • On-site testing for manufacturing, repair, and maintenance teams

Working Principle

The MH100 works on the Leeb rebound method. A metal impact body strikes the test surface and rebounds. The rebound velocity compared to the impact velocity determines the hardness value. This measurement is automatically converted into the selected hardness scale depending on the material and settings.
