  • Installation environment: Must be vibration-free, corrosion-free, and on a stable, flat surface

Working Principle

The Vickers hardness testing method involves pressing a diamond-shaped pyramid indenter into the material’s surface with a specific force. After the force is removed, the lengths of the indentation’s diagonals are measured using the optical system. The hardness value is then calculated using the following formula:

HV ≈ 0.1891 × F / d²

Where:

  • HV = Vickers hardness value

  • F = Test force (in newtons)

  • d = Average of the two diagonals of the indentation (in millimeters)

The Mitech MHV50 is a versatile and reliable solution for advanced microhardness testing across industrial, academic, and laboratory environments
