Apera TN500 Portable White Light Turbidity Meter with GLP Data Logger – EPA 180.1 Compliant

SKU: AI483

Product Description

The Apera TN500 Portable White Light Turbidity Meter is a portable water turbidity measuring instrument designed for high-accuracy testing in accordance with the U.S. EPA 180.1 standard. This instrument uses a tungsten filament lamp as its light source and a 90° scattering measurement method, making it highly suitable for water analysis with low turbidity levels as well as general water testing applications.

The TN500 is equipped with TruRead™ Multi-Reading Mode technology, which performs multiple measurements in sequence and calculates the average, minimum, and maximum values. This feature helps produce more representative readings compared to relying on a single measurement result.

To support long-term use, the tungsten lamp can be replaced by the user. The TN500 also uses AMCO Polymer or Formazin calibration standards at 0, 20, 100, 400, and 800 NTU/FNU points. The provided AMCO standards are non-toxic, NIST-traceable, stable, and designed to simplify the calibration process.

The instrument features GLP data management with storage capacity for up to 200 data sets, calibration date and time recording, and USB connection for data transfer to a PC using PC-Link software. With a 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery, the TN500 can be used for approximately 20 hours of testing and can be recharged via USB.

An IP67-protected housing, rugged design, TFT color screen, and multi-language support make the TN500 suitable for both laboratory use and field work.
